KENNESAW STATE TENNIS RALLIES TO TOP UNA WOMEN

KENNESAW, Ga., – The University of North Alabama women's tennis team let a 3-0 lead slip away as host Kennesaw State rallied for a 4-3 home win Saturday in ASUN Conference play. The loss leaves UNA with a 5-11 record and 0-3 start to ASUN play.
 
The Lions took the early lead after posting wins at No. 2 and No. 1 doubles. In singles play, Payton Andrews extended the lead to 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at the top spot. Sydney Flesch gave UNA the 3-0 lead with another straight-sets win. The freshman from Huntsville won 6-4, 6-0 at the No. 2 position.
 
KSU extended the match with a straight-sets win at No. 5 singles, then won the final three matches in three sets each to complete the comeback.
 
UNA will return home to host No. 33 Georgia Tech Tuesday in non-conference action. The two teams are set to play twice, beginning at 11 a.m. at the UNA Varsity Tennis Courts.
