WOMEN’S TENNIS SWEEPS BELLARMINE 7-0

LOUISVILLE, Ky., – A 7-0 victory at Bellarmine on Thursday gave the University of North Alabama women's tennis team a 6-10 overall record and evened the team's ASUN Conference mark at 2-2 on the season.
 
Less than two weeks after defeating the Knights by an identical 7-0 score in Florence, UNA again made quick work against short-handed Bellarmine.
 
Victories at the top two doubles positions put the Lions within a single point of clinching after the home team forfeited No. 5 and No. 6 singles. That point was provided by Sydney Flesch, who recorded a 6-1, 6-1 victory at the No. 2 spot.
 
Singles win at No. 3, No. 4, and No. 1 wrapped up the scoring for UNA. Nina Linke (No. 4) won her match with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 score.
 
UNA will play at Liberty on Saturday. Match time is set for 9 a.m. on the LU campus in Lynchburg, Va.
