DULUTH, Ga. -- After back-to-back impressive tournament finishes, the University of North Alabama men's golf team struggled on the opening day of the Georgia State Invitational and will enter Tuesday's final round in 10th place.
The Lions fired an opening round 297, which put them in eighth place. Another 297 in round two dropped UNA into the 10th spot at 18-over-par.
James Madison leads the 16-team tournament at one-over-par.
Individually, UA's
Francois Jacobs is tied for 18th at 146. He is followed by
Carter Goodwin and
Henry Frizzell at 149 (tied 33rd),
Andre Jacobs at 150, (tied for 41st) and Xing "Eric" Luo at 159 (tied for 75th).
