Box Score LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Bellarmine broke a 3-3 tie with three runs in the seventh inning and went on to a 6-3 win over North Alabama in the final game of an ASUN Conference baseball series.
With the loss, UNA is now 8-22 overall and 2-10 in ASUN Conference play. Bellarmine improved to 6-25 overall and 4-8 in the league.
Bellarmine struck first with three runs in the second inning before UNA got on the board with two runs in the top of the fourth.
Devne Daniel walked and
Jonathan Lane hit his second home run of the weekend, a two-run blast to close the gap to 3-2.
The Lions tied the game in the fifth when
Levi Jensen walked and eventually scored on an RBI-ground out by
Austin Thrasher.
Bellarmine then struck for three runs in the seventh to make the final 6-3.
UNA starter
Jacob James (2-2) took the loss, allowing five runs on eight hits over five and a third innings. He struckout six batters.
UNA hosts Lipscomb in an ASUN Conference series beginning Thursday. at Mike Lane Field.
