STETSON TENNIS DOWNS UNA MEN

DELAND, Fla., - The University of North Alabama men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision at Stetson on Sunday to fall to 3-15 overall and 1-5 in ASUN Conference play. The Hatters (10-8, 3-3) won the doubles point before sweeping through singles play.
 
Stetson jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead after being victorious 6-1 in both the No. 3 and No. 2 doubles positions. No. 1 doubles went unfinished with the home team leading 5-2.
 
In singles play, the Hatters won at No. 5 and No. 4 before securing the match at the No. 2 spot with a 6-4, 6-1 victory. Stetson then won the remaining three matches in straight sets to close out the 7-0 victory.
 
UNA will continue conference play against Kennesaw State on Thursday, April 14. Match time is set for 2 p.m. at the UNA Varsity Tennis Courts.
