FLORENCE, Ala. -- University of North Alabama Head Women's Golf Coach
Neil Self announced the signing of two freshmen and four transfers to join the Lions' program for the 2022-23 season.
UNA is adding freshmen in Zarah Fisher of Durango, Mexico and Kerigan Klauber of Athens, Tenn.
Transfers joining the UNA program are Rose Baral from UAB, Anna Grace Brock from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, Allycia Gan from Missouri Western University and Jacqueline Klemm from Arkansas Tech University.
Fisher had six tournament wins and was the Regional Champion of the Mexican Junior tour presented by Federacion Mexicana de Golf. She represented Durango in the Mexican National event where she notched a third place finish.
Klauber is a graduate of Central High School of McMinn County and was a four-time Tennessee High School District 2 Champion. She finished sixth at the Tennessee State Championship event and earned all-state honors as a junior and senior. She also won 2022 Hurricane Long Drive Championship.
Rose Baral, a native of Las Vegas, Nev., began her collegiate career at UAB in 2019 after graduating from the Nevada Learning Academy. She had a 77.8 average with a low round of 72 as a sophomore in 2021-22.
Anna Grace Brock, a graduate of Emerald High School in Greenwood, S.C., played three seasons at UNCG. She had a 78.73 average as a sophomore for 11 rounds. While in high school, she played six seasons of girls' golf and five seasons of boys' golf, earning all-state honors three times on the girls' team.
Allycia Gan, from Selangar, Malaysia, earned honorable mention All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association honors as a sophomore at Missouri Western. She also earned an MIAA Women's Golfer of the Week honor during the season and had two tournament wins - at the SMSU Spring Invitational and the Hillcat Classic. Her stroke average was 77.94.
Gan was a first-team All-MIAA honoree in 2020-21 and qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championship as an individual, finishing tied for 42nd with a 20-over-par 236. She led the team with a 77.2 scoring average and had a low round of 70 in the first round of the NCAA Central Regional. She earned MIAA Scholar Athlete honors as well.
As a true freshman in 2019-20, she was named to WGCA All-Central Region team after playing in just in six tournaments before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A native of Kelkheim, Germany, Klemm was a four-time All-American golfer at Arkansas Tech and earned Academic All-America® honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America in 2021-22 as well with a 3.78 cumulative grade point average.
Last season, Klemm was a unanimous selection as first-team Great American Conference (GAC) and finished tied for fifth individually at the NCAA Central Region Tournament to qualify for the national tournament as an individual golfer.
In making her third appearance at the national tournament level, Klemm turned in her best performance of them all as she finished tied for eighth.
Klemm was previously GAC Freshman of the Year and Women's Golf Coaches Association Freshman of the Year in 2018-19. She has been named WGCA All-American Scholar as well, to go with numerous conference golfer of the week, all-conference and all-region honors.
