LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- North Alabama won the top two singles matches but Bellarmine took three-set wins at No. 4, 5 and 6 to take a 5-2 team victory over North Alabama in the ASUN Conference opener for both schools.
UNA's No. 1 singles team of Carlos Matarredona and Fedoryshyn, Nazar took a 6-3 at No. 1 doubles but Bellarmine won at No.2 and 3 to take the doubles point.
Matarredona then defeated Bellarmine's Kyle Tang 6-3, 1-6, 7-5 and
Lachlan Brain defeated Matthew Nice 6-1 and 7-6 at No. 2 to earn the Lions their two points.
North Alabama is now 4-5 overall. The Lions play at Middle Tennessee on March 17.
