ATLANTA, Ga. -- After taking individual medalist honors at the 2023 Gulf Coast Collegiate, University of North Alabama senior golfer Francois Jacobs has been named the ASUN Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for March 2.

Jacobs, from League City, Texas, had rounds of 70, 69 and 70 for a 209 total, which set a tournament record. He claimed a two-stroke victory over Ryan Fulton of New Orleans.

Jacobs effort also helped lead UNA to the team title at the Gulf Coast Collegiate with an eight-stroke margin over Jacksonville State. The tournament was played at Diamondhead Country Club in Bay St. Louis, Miss.
