FLORENCE, Ala. -- The finish was of the North Alabama-Alabama State men's tennis match was as dramatic as it gets as UNA's Carlos Matarredona won a third set tie-breaker 10-8 to break a 3-3 tie and give the Lions a 4-3 win over the Hornets.

Alabama State claimed the doubles point and added wins at No. 1 and No. 4 singles. UNA countered with a quick singles win from Chris Zhang at No. 5, a straight set at No. 3 by Guilherme Diniz and a three-set win at No. 6 by Fedrricos Scotuzzi. That left it up to Matarredona, who dropped the first set 6-2 before winning the second set 6-2. His 10-8 win in the tie breaker delivered the Lions third team win of the season.
