JONESBORO, Ark. (October 14, 2025) – The University of North Alabama women's golf team wrapped up its third tournament of the fall season on Tuesday, finishing 12th place at the Lady Red Wolves Classic hosted by Arkansas State at Sage Meadows Golf Club in Arkansas.
The Lions finish with a stroke score of 891 — 27-over-par. UNA beat Utah Tech by two strokes and also defeated Murray State, Mississippi College, Southern Illinois and Illinois State.
This marks the fourth straight season UNA has played in the Lady Red Wolves Classic. The 891 stroke score is a team-best for the Lions. UNA finished with an 894 score in 2022, 909 in 2023 and 906 in 2024.
Following a career-low round of 69 (-3) yesterday, redshirt junior
Kerigan Klauber led the Lions with a 45th place finish. She turned in a card of 77-69-77 to finish seven-over. She ends her tournament run with 10 birdies, including today's birdie on Hole 13 — doing so twice in three rounds.
Two more Lions joined Klauber in the top half of the field, as true freshmen
Lisa Palmgren and
Kiersten Riggins both finished one stroke behind Klauber at eight-over. There are 102 golfers in the tournament, and both finished tied for 51st.
Sophomore
Sirichaya Chanpen had her best round of the tournament on Tuesday, rising 14 spots up the leaderboard to finish nine-over. Her final round was an even-par 72, totaling three birdies for the day. After a bogey on Hole 18 in the first round, Chanpen birdied it the next two times.
Junior
Ava Schwartz rounds out the lineup at 17-over.
ULM was the only team under par for the tournament, winning by 20 strokes ahead of second place Memphis. ULM finished 19-under-par 845. War Hawks golfer Tessa Ion was the individual medalist at nine-under-par 207.
Memphis was followed in the standings by West Georgia and Morehead State in a tie for third (+3), followed by Little Rock in fifth (+4). The middle of the pack was tight as host school Arkansas State (+14) was sixth, followed by Missouri State (+17), Samford (+18), Troy (+22), Austin Peay (+25), UAB (+26) and North Alabama (+27) in the top 12.
The Lions close the fall season on Oct. 27-28 at The Judson hosted by Southern Miss.
