FLORENCE, Ala. (October 19, 2025) – The University of North Alabama women's soccer team dropped their final home game of the regular season against Bellarmine in Atlantic Sun Conference action on Sunday afternoon, 1-0.
Bellarmine (9-5-2, 3-5-0 ASUN) secured the win with a goal in the 65th minute from Nora Dimmitt.
North Alabama (7-5-5, 3-3-3 ASUN) had 17 shots with 12 on target for the game. The Lions added seven corners, which ties for the most in a game this season.
The defense allowed only three shots per half for Bellarmine, as five were on goal. Goalkeeper
Madison Vukas added four saves for the game – reaching 90 for the season.
Forwards
Lexi Vernsey had five shots with three on goal to lead the team, while captain
Alice Bussey was a perfect 1.000 with her three shots on goal.
This was the final home game of the season for the Lions, who honored seven seniors for the afternoon game —

Emma Armstrong and
Madison Vukas.
Five players — Vukas,
Adelyn Speight,
Lilly Ford,
Avery Stojakovich and
Avery Smith — played the full 90 minutes. This was Stojakovich's third game with 90 minutes on the pitch and her first since the win over Troy on Aug. 28.
Gracie Tyrrell logged 79 minutes, the second-most on the team, while
Olivia Heinert earned her first start of the season. Nineteen Lions saw the field in Sunday's contest.
North Alabama ends their regular season journey at Central Arkansas next Saturday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. in Conway, Ark. The ASUN Championship postseason tournament begins the following week on Oct. 30.
