JACKSONVILLE (October 22, 2025) – The University of North Alabama women's tennis team travels to Jacksonville, Fla. this weekend for the Conference Individual Tournament from Oct. 24-26.

North Alabama travels to the campus of North Florida for its fourth fall event of the season. The seven-team tournament sees UNA facing some of the best singles and doubles players in the Atlantic Sun Conference. The weekend will consist of competition against Lipscomb, FGCU, EKU, Stetson, Austin Peay and host North Florida.

Last time out, UNA captured 14 wins in Auburn, Ala. with five Lions winning at least two matches at the ITA Regional Championships.

Junior Louise Booker led with four wins with three wins each from senior Eeva Ristola, freshman Sammie Schouten and junior Mathilde Delaney. Freshman Farah Asaad captured two wins, while senior Senem Ocal tallied a singles victory.

Ristola and Delaney will represent the Lions in singles and doubles play this weekend.

The tournament opens with main draw play in doubles before heading into qualifying singles play. The qualifiers head into the main draw where singles and doubles champions will be on the line.

The tournament's singles and doubles champion will then go into a coaches vote with non-competing ASUN teams to represent the conference at the ITA Conference Master's Championships from Nov. 6-9 in San Diego, Calif.

The event will take place at the UNF Tennis Complex. Draw information will be released closer to the tournament start, and results will be updated throughout each day on the official ITA tournament page.
