FLORENCE, Ala. (November 24, 2025) – Within a single lifetime, we have seen the birth, growth and full adoption of LED technology in athletics—yet some outdated installation methods still remain. Traditionally, video displays have been installed behind nets, fences, plexiglass, or on distant walls. This setup disrupts the clean look of the LED display with glare, netting, or metal bars, and leaves players exposed to potential injury from sharp edges and hard surfaces.
This is why UberDisplays set out to move the technology forward. We knew that teams wanted a product safe enough for players to interact with directly on the field that could handle impacts from a baseball and maintain the visual quality that fans love about LED.
Rubberized is our answer.
Our patented rubberized mask preserves an impressive 126° horizontal viewing angle that ensures great visibility from nearly any seat, and can withstand baseball impacts of up to 80 mph. Additionally, when players do make contact with the LED display, the soft, pliable mask significantly reduces the risk of injury.
Rubberized is currently installed at two MiLB ballparks—Durham Bulls Athletic Park (home of the Durham Bulls) and Cheney Stadium (home of the Tacoma Rainiers)—and we are proud to announce that Rubberized has now made its debut in NCAA baseball at the University of North Alabama.
