Box Score CHARLOTTE, N.C. (April 6, 2025) – The University of North Alabama women's tennis team swept the Queens Royals on Sunday, securing a flawless 7-0 result from Charlotte, N.C.
North Alabama's final road dual ended in victory for the Lions, taking all seven points in the matchup versus the Royals. UNA's earned its fifth season sweep of an opponent, leading to the 15th win of the campaign. The victory also tied the program's Division I record for wins in a season.
The Lions' record now stands at 15-3 overall and 7-1 in the Atlantic Sun Conference. The Royals fell to 1-17 overall and 0-7 in conference play.
North Alabama was led by senior Stanislava Bobrovnikova and junior Eeva Ristola, who earned a singles and doubles victory. Juniors Senem Ocal secured a singles win, along with sophomores Ada Karabacak and Mathilde Delaney. Karabacak also picked up a win by forfeit from the doubles court with senior Anoek Pruijmboom, with Pruijmboom also winning by forfeit from the sixth singles flight.
Two doubles matches were played due to third doubles flight being forfeited by the Royals. With a doubles win already in hand, Bobrovnikova and Ristola sent the dual into singles play with a 6-1 win over Lucy Hogan and Andreea Onitoiu.
Delaney started off singles with a perfect win from court five, defeating Jett Coetzee, 6-0, 6-0. Ristola nabbed the second singles win for the Lions, taking a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Onitoiu. Ristola's win also clinched the team dual due to the sixth singles flight resulting in a Queens forfeit.
Ocal added the third singles win with her victory from flight five, beating the Royals' Audrey Serb, 6-2, 6-1. Karabacak beat her opponent from the second flight, defeating Zoe Cvitanovic, 6-2, 6-1. The final victory for UNA came from court one and Bobrovnikova, who went on to beat Hogan with a 6-3, 6-2 result.

The Lions are set for their final home dual before the postseason, looking to secure an ASUN Regular Season Championship at home versus North Florida on Sunday, April 13. First serve versus the Ospreys is set for 11 a.m.
With a win, the Lions will clinch at least a share of the ASUN Regular Season Championship. Stetson and North Florida are tied with UNA with one loss apiece.
