Biography

UNA 2019: Ray played in 22 games last season...she started 16 times at catcher and batted .244 on the year after going 10-for-41 at the plate...had a double, and RBI and a run scored on the year...had a 2-for-2 showing on April 13 at Lipscomb.

UNA 2018: She saw action in 11 games in 2018, including one start at catcher...she was 3-for-11 at the plate with two RBI.

UNA 2017: She played in 26 games in 2017 with 21 starts in the infield...batted .211 for the season, going 14-for-63 at the plate...scored five runs...had five extra-base hits and four RBI...hit two home runs on March 25 during a double-head sweep at Delta State.

HIGH SCHOOL: She prepped at Bob Jones High School for coach Kent Chambers...played catcher and short stop for the Class 7A Patriots, recording the highest batting average and most home runs on the team as a senior...received All-South Region honors and was an honorable mention All-State pick as a junior...also played in the AHSAA North/South All-Star Game.

PERSONAL: Her full name is McKenna Meshea Ray. She is the daughter of Tom and LaJeanna Ray. She was born on January 23, 1998 and has three brothers. She is majoring in elementary education at UNA.
