Tarayceus Jeffries was hired as North Alabama's Coordinator, Creative Media & Communications on April 17, 2023.
Jeffries is the primary contact for the indoor volleyball, beach volleyball, women's basketball and tennis programs. In addition to his sports information duties, Jeffries also coordinates various social media initiatives for UNA Athletics, specifically for non-athletic events and corporate partnerships.
Jeffries came to UNA from Newberry, South Carolina where he worked as a Sports Communications Assistant at Newberry College from July 2022 to April 2023. While there, Jeffries served as the primary contact for women's lacrosse, women's rugby, men's soccer and wrestling. He also served as a secondary contact to all the other NCAA programs at Newberry. Among his duties, Jeffries served as a public address announcer, statistician, photographer, music operator and scoreboard operator. He also managed the various social media accounts for his sports and the primary athletics account.
Prior to Newberry, Jeffries worked as a sports information intern with the University of West Georgia during the summer of 2019 before being added on as a graduate assistant from August 2019 to May of 2021. While at UWG, he assisted in the promotion of 13 varsity sports, including duties with football, men's and women's basketball, baseball and volleyball programs.
Outside of college athletics, Jeffries worked as a stadium and game operations assistant for the Arkansas Travelers during the 2022 season. He handled various field and stadium maintenance projects while in North Little Rock.
Jeffries completed both his Bachelor's and Master's degree at West Georgia, finishing the former in 2019 and the latter in 2021. He is originally from the Atlanta area (Conyers, Ga.) and currently resides in Muscle Shoals.
