FLORENCE, Ala. -- Tampa scored a go-ahead goal just over a minute into the second half and held on for a 2-1 win over host North Alabama in the final game of the Lion Shootout at the UNA Soccer Field.
UNA, now 1-3, fell behind early as Tampa got a goal from Meg Beidleman off an assist from a corner kick by Natasia Asgedon at the 10:40 mark of the first half.
The Lions rallied to tie the match in the 29th minute as
Kristen Sinden launched a shot from distance that made it 1-1 at 28:54.
Haley Pigotti then scored the game winner off a corner kick from Lauren Cicero at the 46:10 mark.
UNA was out-shot 15-11 in the match.
North Alabama goalkeeper
Kate Webster had three saves and Tampa's Sydney Ross had three.
The Lions play at Shorter on Wednesday (Sept. 14) at noon.
