FLORENCE, Ala. -- Abilene Christian scored two first half goals and made it stand up for a 2-0 women's soccer win over North Alabama at the Bill Jones Athletic Complex.
The loss was the second straight for UNA after opening the season with five straight wins. The Lions were also shutout for the second straight match after scoring 19 goals in its first five outings.
Abilene Christian improved to 4-2 overall.
Dylan Owens scored her third goal of the season for ACU at 7:15 of the first half, driving the left side before putting the ball past the UNA goalkeeper in the bottom left corner.
The Wildcats added a second goal at 38:04 of the half when Brooke Lenz floated a ball into the box that Samantha Vestal headed into the goal.
North Alabama managed to out-shoot Abilene Christian 11 to eight but the Lions could not convert any of their five shots on goal in the second half.
