KENNESAW, Ga. -- North Alabama had 11 shots and four shots on goal but could not put the ball in the net as the Lions lost a 1-0 decision to Kennesaw State at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. The loss eliminates North Alabama from contention for a spot in the ASUN Conference Tournament.
The lone goal of the match came on a header by Becky Contreras at 37:03 of the first half and the Owls made it hold up for the win.
With the loss, UNA is now 6-10 overall and 2-5 in conference play.
The Lions close out their season at home on Sunday against Lipscomb at 7 p.m. at the Bill Jones Athletic Complex.
