MEMPHIS, Tenn., – Toledo used a strong serving game to keep the University of North Alabama volleyball team off balance and record a 3-0 sweep Saturday in the final game of the Beale Street Challenge in Memphis. The Rockets recorded 18 aces in a 25-19, 25-16, 25-23 victory.

With the loss, UNA falls to 2-11 on the season. The Lions hit .299 on the day and produced 6.5 blocks. Toledo's Emma Swope, however, led all players with 21 kills and added seven service aces to pave the way for the Rockets.

Anna Katherine Griggs hit .429 and led UNA with six kills. The freshman from Arab also had five blocks. Claire Bullington added five kills and was named to the all-tournament team. Mariana Trujillo also had 12 assists while Breylee Linder turned in 11 assists on the day.

Defensively, Elizabeth Ford reached double figures for the third straight match with a career-high 16 digs.

North Alabama will now turn its attention to the 2019 ASUN season, beginning next weekend. The Lions will open conference play Friday at Florida Gulf Coast. Match time is set for 6 p.m. on the FGCU campus in Fort Myers, Fla.
