BEACH VOLLEYBALL WINS TWICE IN ARKANSAS

CONWAY, Ark., – A pair of victories on the final day of the UCA Beach Bear Classic evened the University of North Alabama beach volleyball team's record at 5-5 on the season. The Lions knocked off Hendrix 5-0 before wrapping up play at the even with a 4-1 win over Park University.

The two wins gave UNA a 2-2 record at the event after the Lions lost to Austin Peay and host Central Arkansas on the opening day.

North Alabama opened play on Saturday with the team's second 5-0 victory over Hendrix this season. Following a default victory at No. 5, the Lions won four straight two-set matches.

In the match against Park, the two teams split the first two matches at the No. 4 and No. 5 spots. UNA, however, was able to clinch the overall victory with three straight wins at the top three spots.

UNA will travel to Morehead, Ky., to play two matches against Morehead State on Wednesday. Match time are set for 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. on the MSU campus.
