FLORENCE, Ala. -- Jacksonville State scored a goal late in the first half and held on for a 1-0 ASUN Conference women's soccer win over North Alabama at the Bill Jones Athletic Complex.
The loss closed the Lions season with a 2-13-3 overall record and a 1-7-1 mark in the ASUN. Jacksonville State is now 7-9-2 overall and 3-5-1 in the ASUN.
UNA had offensive opportunities early but couldn't find the back of the net on a pair of shots on goal from
Alice Bussey.
JSU got the only goal of the night at the 41:03 mark off the foot of Cephana Deane.
UNA had two additional scoring opportunities in the second half but could not score.
The Lions were outshot 9-8 by the Gamecocks.
