FLORENCE, Ala. -- The University of North Alabama women's soccer team opens it season at home this Saturday at 6 p.m. against Western Kentucky University at the Bill Jones Athletic Complex.
The match will be the first of six home events for the Lions on a 12-game spring schedule that includes eight ASUN Conference matches.
UNA is coming off a 6-11 showing in 2019 in the school's second season in Division I.
The Lions return 12 lettermen and seven starters from that 2019 team.
UNA's list of returning starters includes forward
Charlotte Kellett, midfielders
Tay Cavett,
Grace Lensing and
Kate Wiseman and defenders
Morgan Ebert,
Kelsey Jones and
Hannah Guthrie.
Followng the match against Western Kentucky, the Lions will play at UAB on February 14 at 5:00 p.m., host Troy on February 20 at 4:00 p.m. and conclude non-conference play at Chattanooga on February 26 at 3:00 p.m.
UNA opens its conference slate at home on March 4 against Lipscomb at 6:00 p.m.
