OXFORD, Miss., – Ole Miss improved to 4-2 on the season with a pair of victories over the University of North Alabama women's tennis team on Friday. The Lions lost 7-0 and 4-0 to fall to 2-5 on the season.

In the opener, the Rebels won all three doubles matches before sweeping through singles play. The first five singles matches were straight-set victories before Eesha Gudiseva held on for a 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 victory over Nicole Reilly at the No. 6 spot. Gudiseva rallied to tie after the opening-set defeat, then posted a 10-8 win in the tiebreaker.

In the second match, Ole Miss again won the doubles point before closing out play by winning the first three singles matches for the 4-0 win. Victories at No. 5, No. 3 and No. 2 clinched the overall win for the Rebels.

After dropping the opening set 6-2 at No. 4 singles, Kalais Going was up 2-1 in the second set when play was called.

The UNA women's next match at Belmont on Sunday has been postponed. The Lions will return to action on Feb. 22 at Western Kentucky. Match time is set for 1 p.m. on the WKU campus in Bowling Green, Ky.
