FLORENCE, Ala. – Chattanooga scored two second half goals to break a 1-1 tie and go on to a 3-1 women's soccer win over North Alabama at the Bill Jones Athletic Complex.
The Mocs took a 1-0 lead with a goal from Kendra Mueller in the 22
nd minute before UNA tied it at the 25:18 mark on a goal from
Kate Wiseman.
UTC then added goals from Maggie Shaw in the 76
th minute and Mackenzie Smith in the 83
rd minute for the 3-1 win.
With the loss, UNA is now 0-5-2 overall. Chattanooga improved to 3-4.
Kira Schuster and
Chloe Fell assisted on Wiseman's first goal of the season.
UNA was out-shot 12 to 11, but the Lions had six shots on goal.
Alice Bussey led UNA's offensive threat with five shots, including three shots on goal.
North Alabama goalkeeper
Payton Yates had five saves for the Lions.
The Lions host Austin Peay State Sunday at 1 p.m.
