MARTIN, Tenn. -- Tennessee-Martin scored three first half goals and went on to post a 4-1 women's soccer win over North Alabama at Skyhawk Soccer Field.
With the loss, North Alabama falls to 0-3-2 overall, while UTM improved to 3-1-1.
The Skyhawks scored goals in the 39th, 41st and 43rd minutes to take a 3-0 lea into halftime.
A fourth UTM goal at the 50:08 mark stretched it to 4-0 before UNA's
Alice Bussey got the Lions on the scoreboard in the 78th minute. Bussey scored her second goal of the year off an assist from Malin Anderson at the 77:36 mark.
North Alabama was out-shot 26-5 in the match.
Payton Yates recorded nine saves for the Lions and
Jordyn Spreck had one.Â
