UNA WOMEN FALL AT HOME TO CENTRAL ARKANAS

FLORENCE – After winning the doubles point, Central Arkansas swept through singles play to record a 7-0 victory over the University of North Alabama women's tennis team on Sunday. With the loss, the Lions fall to 2-14 on the season and 0-3 in ASUN play. UCA improves to 11-6 and 3-0 in ASUN play.
 
Central Arkansas took the early lead in doubles play with 6-1 and 6-2 victories at the No. 3 and No. 1 spots respectively. The No. 3 match went unfinished with Juliette Talieu and Kalais Going holding a slim 4-3 lead.
 
After UCA clinched the overall match with singles wins at the No. 6, the No. 1 and the No. 2 spots, the final two matches went two tiebreakers. Juliette Talieu lost a 1-6, 6-3, 10-4 decision at No. 3 before Kalais Going fell 7-6, 4-6, 10-5  at the No. 5 position.
 
UNA will continue conference play with its next match against Liberty. Match time is set for 2 p.m. at the UNA Varsity Tennis Courts.
