THOBODAUX, La. -- The University of North Alabama men's tennis team picked up four singles wins and claimed the doubles point to record its first win of the season, 5-2 over Nicholls State. The Lions got three of their singles wins in three-set matches.

UNA got doubles wins at No. 2 and No. 3 to claim the doubles point.

Lachlan Brain then took a three-set win at No. 2 singles, Guilherme Diniz won in three sets at No. 3m Chris Zhang won in three sets at No. 4 and Fedrricos Scotuzzi won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 6.

The win was the first collegiate win for UNA men's tennis coacg Aitor Reparaz.

The Lions play at Samford on February 5.
