BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- After claiming the doubles point, Samford used four singles wins to take a 5-2 win over North Alabama in men's tennis action at the Pat M. Courington Tennis Pavillion.

UNA got a win at No. 2 doubles with Nazar Fedoryshyn and Carlos Matarredona taking a 6-3 set over Samford's Harrison Williams and Santiago Arredondo. The Lions lost the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to lose the doubles point.

The Lions then got wins from Lachlan Barin at No. 2 singles and Chris Zhang at No. 5, but a three-set loss by Guilherme Diniz at No. 4 and second set losses in tie breakers by Carlos Matarredona and Fedrricos Scotuzzi were to much for UNA to overcome.

North Alabama is now 1-2 with the loss.
