NOTES

SCOUTING THE MINERS:
Located in El Paso, Texas, UTEP competes at the NCAA Division I level in Conference USA (CUSA), having joined in 2005. They have 15 intercollegiate athletic programs and began playing women's basketball in 1974 with an all-time record of 613-734. The Miners look to shake a three-game skid with losses to Cal Baptist, Lamar and TCU the last three outings.

CALLINS CAREER NIGHT: Senior guard Alexis Callins had the game of her career against UT Martin, scoring 27 points to lead UNA to a come-from-behind 70-63 win over the Skyhawks in Florence. Callins had 16 points in the first half and finished with a nine-point surge in the final 2:40, setting a new scoring mark and surpassing her previous career-high of 21 set in 2021 against Austin Peay.

A THOUSAND MILES: Sunday's roadtrip will be the longest by distance that UNA will make all season. With 1,240 miles in between Florence, Ala. and El Paso, Texas, the journey to UTEP is the only one to surpass 1,000 miles and ranks ahead of conference foes FGCU at 835 miles (Fort Myers, Fla) and Stetson at 682 miles (DeLand, Fla.).

DEFEND THE BANK: North Alabama sophomores Alyssa Clutter and Rhema Pegues find ways to affect the game outside of their scoring prowess, making plays on the defensive end for the Lions. Clutter ranks sixth in steals per game in the ASUN, averaging 2.2 while her 11 steals has her in a three-way tie for the second-highest total in the conference. Pegues is in the top 10 in blocks, as her four blocks checks in at eighth in total and average (0.8).

WHO NEEDS AN ASSIST?: With an eight-assist performance against UT Martin, senior guard Sara Wohlgemuth continues to lead the ASUN in assists per game with 6.4. She also has the fourth-highest assist/turnover ratio in the ASUN with 2.1.
