FLORENCE, Ala. (December 10, 2025) – The United Athletic Conference revealed the 2026 football schedule for conference play on Wednesday, as the University of North Alabama will play six games against UAC foes next October and November.

With Utah Tech and Southern Utah joining the Big Sky next season, the UAC remains strong with seven members across the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas.

UNA joins Abilene Christian, Austin Peay, Central Arkansas, Eastern Kentucky, Tarleton State and West Georgia in the UAC for all sports in 2026. Little Rock and UT Arlington will also join the UAC in 2026 as non-football members.

The conference slate begins with a trip to Eastern Kentucky on Oct. 3. The Lions defeated the Colonels 35-14 at home last season.

The first conference game in the newly-constructed Bobby Wallace Field at Bank Independent Stadium will be against Abilene Christian on Oct. 17. The following week on Oct. 24, Austin Peay will make a visit to the new on-campus stadium.

The Lions will hit the road for a Halloween showdown at Central Arkansas on Oct. 31. The next conference game will be at West Georgia on Nov. 14. The conference slate ends at home against Tarleton State on Nov. 21.

The non-conference schedule will be announced in the coming months.
