PADUCAH, Ky. (March 2, 2025) – The University of North Alabama women's tennis team ended its road trip a perfect 2-0 with a 4-0 win over the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks on Saturday afternoon.

North Alabama faced the host Redhawks in the second of their two duals in Kentucky. The Lions swept the Missouri State Bears one day prior, and day two would see UNA repeat the feat to head back to Florence with two wins. The victory over SEMO also marked the first all-time win in the second meeting between the two programs.

Four Lions gained wins, with junior Senem Ocal and sophomore Ada Karabacak replicating the Missouri State outing with a singles and doubles win. Juniors Stanislava Bobrovnikova and Eeva Ristola won their second doubles match of the weekend, and Ristola added a second win in singles play.

North Alabama's record improves to 6-2, earning its fourth-consecutive win. SEMO moves even on the season at 8-8.

Opening the doubles action was Bobrovnikova and Ristola, who won 6-2 from court one over the Redhawk's Mia Mayerova and Maja Bajorek.  Ocal and Karabacak defeated SEMO's Juliette Demunck and Claudia Casas on court three, sending UNA into singles with the doubles point.

In singles, Karabacak, Ocal and Ristola had strong efforts to clinch UNA the dual with three-straight wins.

Karabacak defeated SEMO's Demunck for the first win, taking a 6-1, 6-1 victory from court four. Ristola's second-flight win was versus the Redhawks' Yontha Tadoum, earning a 6-2, 6-2 win. The final completed match came from Ocal, who won from the sixth flight over SEMO's Mayerova, 6-2, 6-1.
