Hannah Shollenberger

Hannah Shollenberger enters her fifth season as a coach at North Alabama, including her fourth as assistant coach. The former UNA standout was previously a graduate assistant in 2021 and was also a four-year letterwinner for the Lions. She earned all-conference and all-region honors in 2018 and helped lead UNA in the transition into Division I and the ASUN Conference.
 
The Florence, Ala., native batted .339 for her career with 20 doubles, one triple and 13 home runs. She also drove in 93 runs. She received first team All-Gulf South Conference and second team D2CCA All-South Region honors as a sophomore to help lead the Lions to a GSC title. She also earned freshman of the week honors the previous season.
 
Shollenberger played in 38 games, including 30 starts as UNA began its first season in Division I during the 2019 campaign. UNA finished 26-20 and secured a No. 4 seed in the ASUN Conference Tournament. In 2020, she played in
18 games before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
In high school, Shollenberger played catcher and third base for her father, Coach Brian Shollenberger, at Florence High School. She was a five-time all-county and six-time all-area selection. She set the school home run record in 2014 and received a 2015 All-State Honorable Mention for the Class 6A Falcons.

Shollenberger graduated UNA in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies with a focus in health. In 2022, she earned her master's degree in sport and recreation management.
