Biography
2020 BEACH: Dickson played in all 12 matches for the Lions last season, including 11 at the No. 1 position as a true freshman...she posted a 4-7 record at the top spot with teammate Taylor Seney...also teamed up with Seney at No. 2.
2019 BEACH: She saw action in seven matches during UNA's first-ever beach volleyball season in 2019...went 1-6 with all seven contest coming at the No. 2 position, including a 2-0 win over Huntingdon with teammate Ashtyn Kapovich.
HIGH SCHOOL: She played both indoor and outdoor volleyball at New Plymouth Girls High School for her father, coach Brendan Dickson…helped lead the school to first-place finishes at the National U17 Tournament (2017), the National Inter Provincial Championships (2017) and the National Open Women Division I Championships (2018)...also helped the team to runner-up finishes at the National Secondary Schools Division I Tournament in 2017 and the 2018 New Zealand National Division I Championships...she received Secondary Schools All-Tournament honors and Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2017 and 2018...was also named the National Interprovincial MVP and Best Outside Hitter in 2017.

PERSONAL: Her full name is Maya Grace Dickson. She is the daughter of Brendan and Anna Dickson. She was born on April 3, 2001 and has one sister. She is majoring in business management at UNA.
