    Graduate Assistant Soccer Coach
Tom Halsall is entering his first fall season as a graduate assistant coach with the University of North Alabama women's soccer program and will work with the UNA goalkeepers.

He came to UNA after serving as an assistant coach for the Bryan College women's soccer team in Dayton, Tenn.

Before arriving in the United States from the United Kingdom in the fall of 2012, Halsall was part of Premier League Club Manchester City as a goalkeeper from the ages of 12 to 18. Competing in the Youth Cup and Youth Champions League in 2011, Halsall gained valuable experience and was then part of the first-team squad for the 2011/2012 Premier Winning Season. Halsall then had a two-month loan spell at Championship side Derby County.

Halsall then joined Lee University and was a four-year starter from 2012-2016. He was an NCCAA All-American and a member of the NCCAA National Championship team in 2014 after posting a 0.80 goals against average in 14 games.

He won numerous accolades during his career at Lee including, NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week in 2012, MVP of the Lee Olive Garden Tournament in 2015, team's best defensive player in 2013, second-team all-region in 2013 and 2015, Gulf South Conference  Defender of the Week for September, 2015, and 2015 All-GSC.

During the Summer's, Halsall played four seasons at NPSL side Chattanooga FC and one season at Asheville SC.

After Graduating from Lee in 2016 with a degree in Physical Education, Halsall joined Erskine College in South Carolina as the Men's Assistant Coach in August 2016 and helped lead them to a top four finish in conference play that year. After Erskine, Halsall joined Shorter University in Rome, Ga., in July 2017 as the men's and women's soccer graduate assistant and gained a Master’s Degree in Business Management in May 2019. After Shorter, Halsell joined the Florida Elite Soccer Academy in Jacksonville, Fla., in May 2019 and was the Director of Goalkeeping for the entire club.

Halsall has his FA Level 1 Outfield Coaching and Goalkeeping License as well as an NSCAA D License.

While at Bryan, he helped with both the men's and women's soccer programs, while also assisting with the strength and conditioning program while working towards his second Master's Degree, an MBA in Sports Management.
