Davis Farlow officially joined the UNA Athletics staff on August 1, 2025 as an athletics videographer graduate assistant. He previously joined the staff as a student worker in January 2025, capturing content at UNA basketball games, spring sporting events and fall sport practices.
His creative media journey began during his junior year of high school with the school yearbook, where he ventured out from his role as business editor and began snapping photos for the sports section. This blossomed into his college years at the University of North Alabama, where he started as a football videographer in 2021. He filmed all games and practices and provided the footage to the coaching staff.
Farlow spent all four years of college managing the UNA Cinematic Arts & Theatre equipment room, where he maintained and managed all equipment inventory, oversaw events and productions in the space and collaborated with professors to lead camera work and editing labs for students of all classes.
Farlow graduated from UNA in Spring 2025 with a degree in Cinematic Arts & Theatre with a focus in Film Production. He finished college with a perfect 4.0 GPA and was presented the prestigious Keller Key, which is presented at each commencement to the honor graduate who, on the basis of having earned all credits for the bachelor’s degree at the University, has achieved the highest grade point average.Â
In addition to his creative media expertise, Farlow also possesses public speaking skills and has served as public address announcer at sporting events. Farlow is also a noted square dancer, close-up magician and served as a church camp canteen crew member for three years.
He is originally from Decaturville, Tennessee and currently resides in Florence.
