FLORENCE, Ala. -- The University of North Alabama women's soccer team will host its first home match since September 29 when the Lions host Stetson Friday night in an ASUN Conference matchup.
The match is set for 7 p.m. at the Bill Jones Athletic Complex.
The Lions enter the match 5-9 overall and 1-4 in ASUN play with three regular season matches left on the schedule. UNA is currently seventh in the ASUN standings and must finish in the top six to earn a spot in the post-season tournament.
A 3-0 win at Jacksonville on Sunday snapped a four-match losing skid and keeps the Lions post-season hopes alive.
Stetson enters the match with a 2-9-2 overall record and a 0-3-1 ASUÂ mark.
North Alabama won the only previous meeting between the two schools, 1-0 last season.
UNA senior forward
Shelby Wall of Auburn, Ala., continues to lead the Lions' offensive attack with an ASUN-leading 13 goals. She is tied for third in the nation in Division I for most goals scored in 2019.
Senior
Kate Webster of Newburgh, Ind., has stepped in at goalkeeper and has started the last seven matches for the Lions, recording two shutouts.
After the home match with Stetson, the Lions travel to Kennesaw State on October 25 for a 6 p.m. match and then close the regular season at home against Lipscomb at 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 27.
