DELAND, Fla., – Stetson scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning to rally for a 2-1 win over the University of North Alabama softball team on Sunday. With the win, the Hatters avoided the three-game ASUN Conference sweep. UNA falls to 17-11 on the season and 3-3 in ASUN play.

The game featured a pitching duel between UNA's Laken Distefano and Stetson's Tori Perkins and remained scoreless headed into the seventh inning. Harley Stokes led off the top of the seventh with a solo home run to center field.

In the bottom of the frame, the Hatters put runners at first and third with one out after getting a single and a UNA throwing error. After the Lions replaced Distefano with Megan Garst, Stetson tied the game on a sacrifice fly, then won on an RBI-single up the middle. Both runs were unearned.

UNA held a 6-4 advantage in hits. Alex Brown went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles. Distefano (3-2) was stuck with the pitching loss after scattering three hits over 6.1 innings.

North Alabama's scheduled home double-header Wednesday against Austin Peay has been changed to a single game on Thursday. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. at the Hilda B. Anderson Softball Complex.
