BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- UAB scored two goals in a five minute span of the first half and then added three more in a less than 10-minute period of the second half to post a 5-0 women's soccer win over North Alabama.
North Alabama, 1-1, was out-shot 22-6, with UNA goalkeeper
Payton Yates facing 13 shots on goal. She recorded eight saves.
UAB's Anika Toth posted a shutout in goal with three saves.
UAB's Regan Kommor scored a goal at the 27:36 mark of the first half and Lexie Lipsey made it 2-0 with a goal at the 32:36 mark.
Lipsey added two additional goals in the 63rd and 70th minutes to push the Blazers advantage to 4-0.
The final goal of the day was scored by UAB's Kristen Goodroe at the 69:24 mark.
North Alabama's next match is also on the road at Chattanooga on Friday, February 26.
