Biography
UNA 2016-17: Tolliver saw action in 29 games last season, starting 19 times at guard...he was one of three players to average double figures in scoring, totaling 296 points for a 10.2 per-game average...was second on the team with 67 assists and also had 131 rebounds, 31 steals and three blocked shots...reached double digits 14 times with four games over 20 points...had a career-high 26 points on Jan. 12 at Delta State...added a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds on Feb. 16 at home against West Florida.
UNA 2015-16: He played in all 29 games for the Lions in the 2015-16 season, getting one start as a true freshman...averaged 8.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game...shot 41.8 percent from the floor, including 20 three-pointers...was 78-of-115 from the free throw line...reached double figures in scoring 14 times, including a season-high 21 points on Feb. 6 at Lee.
HIGH SCHOOL: He played for coach Kenny Hill at Scottsboro High School...was the point guard for the Class 6A area and regional champion Wildcats...averaged 22 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals per game in the 2014-15 season...earned All-State honors as a senior and finished the year as the school's all-time leader in points, assists and rebounds.
PERSONAL: His full name is Tavaras Rashad Tolliver. He is the son of Kevin and Nita Tolliver. He was born on July 22, 1997 and has one sister, Jessica Poe. He is majoring in physical education at UNA.
