Biography

UNA 2015-16: Holtzclaw played in all 29 games as a true freshman for the Lions last season...he averaged 10.1 minutes per game, totaling 80 points and 51 rebounds...also added five assists, five blocked shots and four steals...recorded a season-high 11 points twice on the year against Fisk (Nov. 19) and Delta State (Mar. 1).

HIGH SCHOOL: He prepped three seasons at Horizon Christian Academy before playing his senior year at North Forsyth High School...totaled 1,771 career points...was named team MVP at North Forsyth...also received All-County, All-Region and All-State honors...won the Warrior Athlete of the Year Award at Horizon Christian Academy in 2014...set school career and single-season scoring records, scoring 536 points as a junior...led the team to a GICAA state championship with a 21-0 record and also recorded the first triple-double in school history...received GICAA All-State and A-Region honors...was an ICSGA All-Star as a sophomore and received ICSGA All-Region and All-State recognition.

PERSONAL: His full name is Dakota Allen Holtzclaw. He is the son of Debbie Holtzclaw. He was born on November 6, 1996 and has one sister, Clara, and one brother, Jese. He is majoring in biology and political science at UNA.
