COLLEGE: Fowlkes played his freshman season at Garden City Community College during the 2014-15 season...He received a medical red-shirt last year...averaged 9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2 steals per game as a true freshman...shot 45 percent from the floor, including 35 percent from three-point range.
HIGH SCHOOL: He was the only player in the state of Maryland to play in three state championships games in three different divisions (2A, 3A & 4A)...Prepped at Patterson High School during his sophomore and junior seasons before transfering to Edmondson Westside...was a second team All-Metro pick as a sophomore while Patterson was named Baltimore City Champions...averaged 12 points per game as a junior and was a second team All-Metro pick...recorded six points, eight rebounds and three steals in the 3A championship game...helped lead the Red Storm to the 2A title as a senior.
PERSONAL: His full name Myrek Lee Fowlkes. He is the son of Tee Fowlkes. He was born on October 24, 1994 and has one brother and four sisters. He is majoring in management at UNA.
