A two-run fourth inning gave North Alabama the lead for good. Chloe Kirkland opened the inning by reaching on a UNF fielding error. Pinch runner Mary Grayson Kilpatrick reached third before Hannah Shollenberger's RBI-single gave UNA its first lead of the series.

Harley Stokes also singled before scoring on a single to left field by de Ruiter to give the Lions a 3-1 lead.

North Florida (19-10 overall, 2-1 ASUN) loaded the bases in the top of the fifth and also had base runners in the sixth and seventh innings. The Ospreys stranded 10 runners on the day.
