UNA MEN FALL 75-64 AT STETSON

DELAND, Fla., – North Alabama went nearly five minutes without a field goal in the second half while Stetson went on a 13-3 run to take control Thursday during a 75-64 victory in ASUN Conference men's basketball action. With the fourth straight loss, UNA falls to 10-15 on the season with a 5-7 record in league games.
 
After trailing by as many as 16 points early in the contest, UNA rallied to take its first lead midway through the second half. A basket by Christian Agnew gave the Lions a 48-47 lead with 11:43 remaining.
 
The game featured three more ties and four more lead changes down the stretch. After a basket by James Anderson put UNA ahead 57-56 at the 8:03 mark, the Lions went cold from the floor. UNA missed its next four shots while the home team turned the one-point deficit into a 69-60 lead with 3:39 to play.
 
A basket by Aleksa Matic briefly cut the Stetson lead to seven before the Hatters scored six straight points to take a 75-62 lead in the final minute of play. The Lions added a layup by Jamari Blackmon but could get no closer.
 
North Alabama trailed 26-10 with 9:52 remaining in the first half. Five different players scored as the Lions battled back to get within two points. A three-pointer by Blackmon made the score 31-29 at the 1:55 mark. Stetson stretched the lead to 37-31 at the break.
 
Agnew finished with 16 points to lead UNA. Emanuel Littles added 12 points and seven rebounds for the Lions.
 
Stetson (14-12 overall, 8-3 ASUN) had four players in double figures, led by Rob Perry's game-high 20 points.
 
UNA will play at North Florida on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. (CST) at the UNF Arena in Jacksonville, Fla.
