NOTES

Series History: This will be the sixth meeting between the two schools all time with the Lions holding a 1-2-2 record against the Screaming Eagles. North Alabama and Southern Indiana matched up last season where the result was a scoreless tie in Florence.

Scouting Southern Indiana: Southern Indiana enters the contest with a 0-1-0 record after losing their opening contest to IUPUI 2-0. Southern Indiana finished 2022 with a record of 5-8-4. The Screaming Eagles are coached by Eric Shoenstein who is in his eighth season at the helm of the women's soccer program.

Belmont Recap: North Alabama fell to Belmont on Thursday in the season opener. Belmont scored in just the second minute of the match and never relinquished the lead. The Lions lost despite outshooting the Bruins 10-3 and holding a 5-1 corner advantage.

Home Sweet Home: The Southern Indiana match is the back end of a two-game road trip to start UNA's season. The Lions will play their home opener on Thursday against Chattanooga. This will serve as the University's first home athletic event of the 2023-24 academic year.

Next Game: Following the game against Southern Indiana, the Lions will return to Florence on Thursday, August 24 at 6 p.m. against the Chattanooga Mocs.
