Southern Illinois Series History: The University of North Alabama soccer team has an all-time record of 1-0-1 against Southern Illinois. UNA won in Carbondale in 2019 with a 3-1 victory. The most recent meeting between the two schools came in a scoreless draw on August 22, 2021.
 
Scouting Southern Illinois: Southern Illinois enters the match with a record of 1-2-3. The Salukis are led by former North Alabama assistant Graeme Orr who is in his first season with the program. 
 
Jacksonville State Series History: North Alabama has only met with Jacksonville State four times prior to Sunday's game with UNA holding the series edge 3-1. North Alabama defeated the Gamecocks 2-1 in the most previous matchup on Oct. 9, 2022. 
 
Scouting Jacksonville State: Jacksonville State enters their Thursday match against Mississippi Valley State with a 3-3 record. Jacksonville State is coached by Sean Fraser, who is in his first season at the helm of the Gamecock women's soccer program.
 
Lions Dominate Alcorn State for Third Straight Shutout
North Alabama outshot Alcorn State 32-0 in a 2-0 victory over Alcorn State. Lion senior Alice Bussey scored her first two goals of the season for her fourth career brace. Bussey scored her first goal on a free kick in the 36th minute and tallied her second in the 67th minute.
 
Homecoming
Southern Illinois head coach Graeme Orr served as an assistant coach at the University of North Alabama from 2008-10. Orr served under current Arizona State head coach Graham Winkworth and helped the Lions to two NCAA tournament appearances in 2009 and 2010. Following his stint at UNA, Orr served as the head coach at West Alabama, where he faced North Alabama 10 times, holding a record of 3-7-0 against the Lions.
 
Two Lions Earn ASUN Weekly Honors
Briana Eads and Adriana Wright both picked up ASUN Conference weekly honors following two clean sheets against Western Kentucky and Alcorn State. Eads was named Defensive player of the week while Wright was named Goalkeeper of the week. North Alabama leads the ASUN in fewest goals allowed (3) and fewest shots allowed (20) so far this season.
