MONTGOMERY, Ala. (September 13, 2024) – The University of North Alabama women's soccer team's match against Alabama State has been canceled due to weather, ASU announced before kickoff on Friday.
The Lions were also scheduled to play at Alcorn State on Sunday, but that match was also canceled as Alcorn State has not played a non-conference match this season. This ends non-conference play for UNA.
UNA is back home Thursday, Sept. 19 to open Atlantic Sun Conference play against new member, West Georgia. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Florence Sportsplex. This will be the first ASUN game for West Georgia in any sport and the first meeting between UWG and UNA since both were in the Gulf South Conference in 2017.
