FLORENCE, Ala. (June 5, 2025) – The International Tennis Association recently released their regional rankings, with North Alabama Women's Tennis securing an eighth-place ranking in the Southern region.
Released on June 4, the polls rank the top 10 teams within 13 regions across the nation. The Lions feature among five teams from Southeastern Conference, two from the American Athletic Conference and two from the Sun Belt Conference.
SEC powers Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss and Alabama rank as the top four teams, followed by Tulane and Mississippi State. South Alabama ranks seventh in the polls, while the ninth and 10th spots belong to UAB and Troy, respectively.
North Alabama was one of four teams from the Atlantic Sun Conference to feature in the regional rankings. Lipscomb, Stetson and North Florida were ranked in their respective regions, with Stetson and North Florida finishing ninth and 10th in the Southeast region. Lipscomb secured a ninth-place ranking in the Ohio Valley region.
The 2025 season saw the Lions win 19 matches, finishing with a Division I program record and the most single-season wins since 1988. The 19 wins place UNA third among the top Southern region, finishing behind Auburn and LSU with 24 wins each.
