NOTES
THE POSTSEASON BEGINS: UNA Women's Tennis makes its return to the ASUN Tournament, marking the third appearance all-time and second in three seasons. North Alabama's made appearances during the 2021 and 2023 seasons, falling to Lipscomb and Jacksonville State in the first rounds, respectively.
LAST TIME OUT: The Lions hosted the North Florida Ospreys last time out for Senior Day but fell in a 4-3 battle in Florence. North Alabama looked to clinch a share of the conference regular season title against the Ospreys, falling behind before a surge by the Lions made it a contest late. UNA led 3-2 with two courts remaining, but North Florida took the dual with wins from the remaining flights.
SCOUTING THE LIONS: Entering the postseason, UNA sports a 16-4 record with a 7-2 ASUN record. The Lions have a win percentage of 67.4 percent in doubles matches (31-15) but increases to 70 percent in singles competition (70-30). Three Lions have 10 or more doubles wins, led by junior Eeva Ristola with a 15-2 record. Senior Stanislava Bobrovnikova is second with a 12-5 record while sophomore Ada Karabacak is third with a 10-5 record. Bobrovnikova and Ristola together have a 12-2 record as a pair with a 6-2 ASUN record. In singles, Karabacak carries a team-high 15 singles victories, followed by Bobrovnikova (13), junior Senem Ocal (12), sophomore Mathilde Delaney (12) and Ristola (10).
SCOUTING AUSTIN PEAY: The Governors enter the tournament with an 8-13 regular season record and a 4-5 conference record. In the Govs' last outing, they fell to both Stetson and FGCU on the road, looking to rebound in the first round of the ASUN Tournament. The Govs are 5-5 in the last 10 duals. In the 2024 edition of the conference tournament, Austin Peay defeated No. 4 Kennesaw State in the opening round before falling to No. 1 Stetson in the semifinal.
SERIES HISTORY: Austin Peay leads the all-time series, 7-2, but North Alabama claimed the last meeting with a 5-2 victory earlier this season on March 14. This marks the first meeting in the ASUN Tournament between the two tennis programs.
