Michael Williams was selected first-team All-Gulf South Conference, first-team CoSIDA Division II All-South Region, second-team CoSIDA NCAA Division II All-American and honorable mention Football Gazette All-American as a senior in 1995.

He was a four-year letterman on the offensive line where he  started 54 consecutive games from 1992-95 on teams with a  combined 48-5-1 record.  That included three straight GSC titles and three straight NCAA Division II National Championships. His 54 consecutive starts ties him for the school record with teammate Jarius Hayes.

This Rogersville, Ala., native was a three-time Academic All-Gulf South Conference selection as well. He was selected for the 50th Anniversary UNA Football Team  for 1949-98 and was named to Gulf South Conference Team of the 1990s. He received a Bachelor of Education degree in History and Physical Education from UNA in 1996 and a Masters of Arts in Education degree from UNA in 2002.

At the time of his induction he was employed as a teacher and football coach at Lauderdale County High School. He has also previously coached and taught at Pell City, Lexington, Muscle Shoals and Wilson. He and his wife Tania live in Rogersville with their sons Alex and Duncan.
